Leadership

Practitioner

Our Mission

As an organization, the Leadership Practitioner™ Collaborative aims to equip anyone and everyone who aspires to create a context for people to be the best versions of themselves and do their best work with practical skills and tools that will boost their practice of leadership every day and in every interaction.

The story

Todays’ organizations – and by this we mean large corporations, small and medium businesses, governments, NGOs, research labs, community groups, families and so on – face quickly-changing complex problems that can no longer be navigated using the perspectives of one or two people or the knowledge gained from previous experiences. Discovering the best approaches and the best solutions requires the experiences, experimental mindset and solution-focused ideas of multiple people, equipped with means to focus those perspectives into a clear path forward.

Today’s organizations need everyone in the organization, with or without title, to develop the skills needed to work this way – the skills needed for productive interactions that lead to effective co-creation.

Unfortunately, leadership training often is offered only to those with leadership titles, and even when offered, often focuses on how to DO leadership, intent on installing processes and tools so that the organizational system functions like a well-oiled machine. The internal changes in perspective and the development of the skills to PRACTICE leadership are often overlooked.

We are on a mission to change that by teaching practical skills and providing practical tools to both emergent and experienced practitioners of leadership, supporting the internal changes they need to make to enable new perspectives and create conditions for strong co-creative problem-solving – so that they are not only able to “practice what they preach,” but are kitted out to preach what they practice.

Our mission is to equip anyone and everyone who aspires to create a context for people to be the best versions of themselves and do their best work with practical skills and tools that will boost their practice of leadership every day and in every interaction.

Our intention is to create safe spaces where practitioners from all walks of life can learn these skills and tools through courses, articles, webinars, and podcast, and be supported through learning circles and 1:1 sessions with our experienced coaches and facilitators, who, too, are practitioners.

We aspire to reach and have a positive impact on everyone who desires it across different professional, geographic, and cultural communities. As such, we seek to partner with coaches and facilitators who are professionals with existing practices, and meaningfully connect the framework to their unique expertise and perspectives so that they can serve the individuals in those communities.
